  2.                              UUDEVIEW FOR WINDOWS

  5.    UUDeview for Windows is a powerful package to decode files that you
  6.    have received via email or from a newsgroup. It supports decoding of
  7.    uuencoded, Base64, BinHex and xxencoded data.
  8.  
  9.    You do not need to edit input files prior to decoding. All you have to
  10.    do is to save the emails or newsgroups from your mail or news reader
  11.    into a file, and then fire up UUDeview. It will first scan all files,
  12.    sorting parts where necessary, and then present you with a list of
  13.    decodeable files.
  14.  
  15.    You can also use the program to encode files into a uuencoded or
  16.    Base64-encoded text file in order to send it away by email.

  64.    In order to run UUDeview for Windows, you need the Visual Basic 3.0
  65.    Runtime Library "VBRUN300.DLL". Chances are that you already have a
  66.    copy. If you don't, you need to download the Library before you can
  67.    enjoy UUDeview. It is available from many ftp servers, and there are
  68.    also links on the UUDeview pages.

  71. How to install UUDeview
  72. -----------------------

  74.    Obviously, you have successfully managed to download and extract the
  75.    package. There isn't much left to do. To run UUDeview, just double-click
  76.    on UUDEVIEW.EXE in the File Manager.

  78.    If you are running Windows 95, you can create a shortcut to UUDEVIEW.EXE;
  79.    for Windows 3.1, just "drag" UUDEVIEW.EXE from the File Manager and "drop"
  80.    it into an appropriate folder in the Program Manager.
